Artist's Statement

The Nude has a long tradition in art and represents a more complex problem, in part, because of judgments of "right" and "wrong" that we insert into our visual and cultural dialog. For example, a hierarchy of types of objectification will consider some forms of the nude to be acceptable while others are not, in the process eliminating meaning altogether in favor of selective observation and "blind spots".
